- How do I pay for my membership?Our Direct Debit memberships are paid fortnightly from your nominated credit card or debit card account. We also offer Paid In Full options that can be paid for via cash or EFTPOS.
- Does my membership give me access to all of the gym locations 24/7? The gym is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for members. Unless you are signed up to a specialised membership, your access tag grants you access to all locations! Rec Xpress Trainer’s work around the clock and our office is staffed during the following hours: Monday to Thursday 10am-1pm & 4pm-7:30pm, Friday 9am-1pm and Saturday 8am-12pm.
- What amenities are in the gym?Toilets, showers, hand basin, hand dryer and chilled water fountain.
- Am I locked into a long term contract?Not if you join our Lifestyle membership for only $14.95 a week. This membership gives you the full flexibility of cancelling your membership with only 30 days written notice, so long as your account is paid up to date!
- I’m going away for a month, can I suspend my membership?Yes, you can! Placing your membership in suspension pauses your membership fee and costs only 35c per day/$2.50 per week. The minimum suspension is 2 weeks and you can suspend up to 4 months each year.
- Do you have Personal Training?Yes, we do. Check out our Trainer Profiles if you wish to read up on which trainer may suit you best. Alternatively, speak with our friendly staff if you have any questions.

Great little gym in the heart of Charman Rd shops. I've been a member since this branch opened, and have loved coming here. More than enough equipment in a compact space to keep you focused on strength and fitness, without it becoming a sprawling barn-like gym where you get lost. Staff always friendly and helpful. And best part is the relaxed atmosphere, being able to train without the intimidating nature of some 'muscle' gyms.

Fantastic gym, lots of equipment for anything you need. Everyone is really sweet and welcoming, I'm really happy I joined. It's a judgement free zone, and as someone who doesn't know what half the equipment does, I've never felt judged once for learning and I'm sure the lovely staff would be kind enough to give advice. Definitely recommend this gym :)
Great gym, and run by a fantastic group of people. I attend the Cheltenham gym regularly and It's always clean, and has everything you need. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Highly recommend.
My sister and I have attended Rec Xpress for about a year and a half now. We have thoroughly enjoyed attending this gym and have found the staff to be extremely professional, thoughtful and approachable. Nikki was a member of staff that we were most affiliated with. We really appreciate her help and kindness throughout our time there. She was patient with our concerns and significantly contributed to our positive experience at Rec Xpress!
It’s so convenient for me being on the road I get to select from a few gyms I may be near for the day. I also live in Cheltenham so the Charman Road gym is great for me.
