ABOUT JAMES
I was introduced to the gym through family and started training at home with calisthenics and old weights before getting my first gym membership at 18 years of age.
I’ve always loved writing programs for friends/family and researching the latest studies, which naturally led me to personal training. I hold my Cert III & IV in Fitness, First Aid and CPR, and while I’m currently studying Civil Engineering and Finance at Monash University, I remain passionate in helping others to achieve their health and fitness goals.
I enjoy training beginners, clients focused on hypertrophy, and those wanting to improve sport performance, always with an emphasis on proper technique. I pride myself on understanding how muscles engage in each movement and designing programs that get results safely. My specialties include hypertrophy, strength/powerlifting, fat loss, conditioning, program design, and technique-focused coaching, helping clients to build sustainable habits and confidence in the gym.
Outside of training, I’m into cars and learning new things. With a background in AFL, basketball, and MMA (kickboxing and submission wrestling), I bring a well-rounded approach to fitness. I’m approachable, bring great energy to the floor, and always happy to help. My focus is making sure clients feel confident, empowered, and walk away knowing they’re training the right way for their body.
If you see me in the gym, don’t hesitate to say ‘Hey!’, I’d be more than willing to answer any training questions you may have!
